Quality & Safety Manager
The QHS Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality, safety, health, security, and DOT management system of the company. They will ensure the company’s Quality Systems are being carried out on a day to day basis. The QHS Manager will also ensure that training is completed and documented in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
· QA document control and related meetings
· Employee training and management of training
· Quality, health, safety, security, and transportation documentation, training and related investigations
· Data analysis trends
· Lead and/or manage audits and surveillances
· Manage the writing/editing of work instructions and forms
· Security practices and training
· Coordinate required medical testing as needed
· Create and edit SDS
· Compliance with and participate in audits with outside regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, DOT, SAFD, DHS, ISO)
· Ensure sprinkler and alarm systems are inspected and in compliance
· Safety supply inventory management
· Adhere to budget for department
· Investigate, document and work toward preventing accidents and near misses
*Qualifications:
Required:
· B.S. or B.A degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, environmental sciences or similar fields of study
· 2-5 years of experience
· ISO 9001 experience
· Ability to define workflows and write procedures
· Must be able to self teach rules and regulations and apply to company standards
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
Preferred:
· Experience in internal auditing and ISO 9001:2015
· Root Cause analysis experience
· OSHA 10 or 30 training (general industry)
