Production Team Lead - (40hrs per week)

SWBC PEO are recruiting on behalf of their Johnson City TX client 

Overview We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support our Operations Supervisor in the co-ordination of our team and production workflow.  

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our production processes, ensuring that our products are fabricated and delivered to meet our high-quality standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, ability to work collaboratively in a small team, being physically fit with the ability to undertake repetitive light aerobic movements such as: pulling/dragging, lifting, and folding of heavy industrial textile fabrics.

The role is full-time - 40hrs per week.

 

Duties

  • Assist with the production of our industrial water tank liners and help to co-ordinate staff
  • Operate various cutting and hot air/wedge welding machinery
  • Handle large cloths of fabric through various production processes
  • Work closely within a small team "6-7 staff" to maintain a smooth workflow
  • Perform and record quality checks on finished products/processes to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area within the factory.
  • Being reliable and strong ability to follow instructions from our Supervisor
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Meet daily production targets
  • Ability to work rotating shifts "Day/Afternoon"

Skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, labor intensive and “hands on” manual work environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Physical stamina for standing, bending, kneeling, twisting and dragging fabric
  • Ability to operate forklifts is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Working hours

  • 40 x hours per week, Monday – Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

(PM shift once initiated would be 3:30pm-11:40pm) “weekly rotation”

Qualifications

  • Experience in leadership, staff management and co-ordination.
  • Experience in a similar environment (laboring type role) would be an advantage.
