Manufacturing Plant Manager
Plant and Engineering Manager needed for Inorganic chemical manufacturing company.
Job Description
We need a Plant Manager. We are paying between $90,000 - $120,000 depending on your experience. We offer many Health/Life/Dental/Vision Insurance. We have a flexible spending account and a 401k match. In order to be considered for the position you must have a minimum of 10 years and a Chemical or related Engineering Bachelors degree and project management experience. To help manage the daily activities of our San Antonio and Hondo facilities manufacturing, shipping & receiving, maintenance, production chemistry and engineering departments.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Blue Line manufactured products satisfy quantity, quality, and on time delivery requirements in accordance with plant policies and procedures and ISO requirements while maintaining safety and health standards.
- Ensure products are shipped according to Blue Line policies & DOT regulations.
- Ensure Blue Line equipment is maintained to minimize production downtime.
- Schedule production with production manager and chemistry department
- Ensure operations are conducted according to the highest safety standards.
- Ensure personnel are trained to perform all required tasks.
- Manage production, maintenance, S&R, production chemistry, environmental and engineering departments support corporate growth goals.
- Exercise sound judgment regarding expenditures for labor & materials.
- Direct new product introduction in manufacturing.
- Work with sales department on bidding jobs
- Direct capital project engineering and construction functions.
Experience with the following is required:
- Inorganic chemistry
- Solid/liquid separations
- Solids handling
- Interdepartmental communication
Experience with the following is preferred:
- Rare earth chemistry
- SOP’s
- Chemical technician training
- Project management experience
- Troubleshooting processing issues
- ISO 9001 standards
- Lean Manufacturing
- 5S
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering preferred Chemical Engineering
- 7+ years’ experience in chemical manufacturing with 5+ years’ experience in management
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Create and adhere to operational and project capital budgets
- Create and read PFD and P&ID
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Solid knowledge of unit operations, batch processing, mass transfer, heat transfer, fluid flow, solids handling and separation processes
